BITD Pahrump Nugget “250” Schedule of Events

Best in the Desert caps an exciting 2016 season on December 1st through 4th with the Pahrump Nugget “250” presented by Supercross.com. Casey Folks and team mapped out a spectacular racecourse this year which includes sections raced previously during the inaugural Mint 400 in 1968 and HDRA “Frontier 500” in 1981, and last raced by BITD twenty years ago during the Vegas to Reno in 1996.

The race course is one loop, roughly 255 miles in length with seven pit stops along the way. Race vehicles go through each pit only once and support teams must remain mobile throughout the race. Pit strategies are fluid due to on track race conditions regardless of prior planning, so the event is exciting for both drivers and crew alike.

Saturday morning, December 3rd, racers will get a police escort from the Pahrump Nugget Hotel and Casino to the official starting line sixteen miles away in Johnnie, NV. After 255 miles the racecourse ends right at the Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino where racers will cross the finish line and begin the after race party. Spectators and race teams can exchange stories during the Pahrump Nugget Barbeque & Beer Garden in the East parking lot from noon until 7:00 PM.

This year Azunia Tequila is also hosting the Azunia Tequila After-Race Party in the Pahrump Nugget Sports Book Bar starting at 6:00 PM. Come be part of history at the Best In The Desert’s Pahrump Nugget “250” presented by Supercross.com.
