Expanding Off-Road Expo In Arizona Delivers The Eye Candy
This past Saturday and Sunday in Scottsdale, Arizona, Nitto Tires and the City of Scottsdale presented the Arizona expansion of the Off-Road Expo. Family Events, the promotional company behind the Off-Road Expo in Pomona, California, is expanding to meet the growing demands of our off-road community with this past weekend’s event in Scottsdale.
Off-Road Expo has historically been the premier event for off-road adventurers and racing spectators who need to keep abreast of the latest gear and tech. “From off-road racing to rock crawling, trail riding to sand sports, to motorcycles and UTV/ATV’s, to camping and adventure travel, you have the unique opportunity to meet and talk with the most knowledgeable people in the off-road industry.”
Although lightly attended both days due to weather, all indicators point to a successful launch of this new Spring Edition of Off-Road Expo. More than 130 vendors were on hand to answer questions and demonstrate their products. And of course, these vendors had plenty of extreme vehicles on display in their booths and outside.
The FMX Stunt Team featuring Keith Sayers, Nick Dunne, and Chad Bauman performed motocross aerial stunts in an area called the Proving Grounds thrilling spectators. Also, throughout the weekend a handful of Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series vehicles and drivers gave demos and signed autographs for the fans. Kids enjoyed taking pictures and getting stickers from their favorite personalities.
Both of the Campbell Enterprises KOH winning vehicles were on display in different areas of the show. Goodall Racing had their rock racer on display wearing all the mud from the recent DirtRiot event in Congress, Arizona. And Arizona RV Salvage featured the LetzRoll Offroad Racing KOH buggy inside the main building. In general, rock crawling and rock racing were well represented at this first Off-Road Expo AZ event.
W.E.Rock competitor Charlie Vacha of Apache Junction, Arizona, had a pair of his rock buggies on display in the Phoenix Rack & Axle booth. Charlie was on hand to talk with fans and showcase his 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies dating years 2013 through 2016.
The Hanro Studios Engraving’s Freedom Blues Ford F150 pickup truck from the 2016 SEMA Show was also on display during the show. This must-see show vehicle was constantly engulfed with gawkers admiring the impressive detail. Photographs approximate but cannot accurately represent the amazing vibrant color and craftsmanship of this incredible vehicle.
The unseasonable 96-degree March temperatures kept the public at home which had an unfortunate impact on the show. However, the Arizona edition of Off-Road Expo will continue to grow in coming years, improving both the customer turn out for vendors and the spectacle for the fans.
Here are more pictures of the impressive vehicles from this inaugural Off-Road Expo Arizona Spring Edition sponsored by the City of Scottsdale.
