SPECTATOR INFORMATION – To Be Updated

There are five exciting spectator areas for viewing The Mint 400 race.

 

There will only be FREE General parking at the Gold Strike Hotel in Jean, with access to Spectator Areas 1 – 4 via shuttle busses that run every 30 minutes.

YOU MUST PURCHASE A PARKING PASS TO PARK AT THE SPECTATOR AREAS – read below.

Spectator Area 1

This is the largest spectating area of The Mint 400, and features a mile long, high-speed straightaway that Mint 400 competitors blast through at lightening fast speeds. Access via Hwy 15, Exit 12 “Goodsprings Road” (Jean) and head East, then turn left (North) on South Las Vegas Blvd and look for “S1” signs.

Spectator Area 2

Spectator Area 2 is one of the most popular spectator areas on race day. It features a slew of jumps, turns, and obstacles and contains over five miles of grueling Mint 400 racecourse. It features a fantastic overview of all the Mint 400 off-road action. Access via Hwy 15, Exit 12 “Goodsprings Road” (Jean) and head East, then turn left (North) on South Las Vegas Blvd and look for “S2” signs.

Spectator Area 3

This spectator area features a sandy high-speed section and slight left hand turn, that puts vehicles on the edge! Access via Hwy 15, Exit 12 “Goodsprings Road” (Jean) and head East, then turn left (North) on South Las Vegas Blvd and look for “S3” signs.

Spectator Area 4

Known for its high-speed passing zone with monstrous whoops, this section of the Mint 400 course was at one time the final stretch heading into the finish line. Access via Hwy 15, Exit 12 “Goodsprings Road” (Jean) and head East, then turn left (North) on South Las Vegas Blvd and look for “S4” signs.

Official Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line

The Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line features multiple vantage points for watching the race, including a brand new short course style in-field, the infamous Primm “dyke jump”, and a massive tabletop “flying finish” competitors scream across! Get up close and personal with all of the Mint 400 champions and get their autographs after they drive across the Mint 400 Podium! Visit the Mint 400 Experience and pick up official Mint 400 merchandise, delicious food and cold beer, and check out all the interactive displays by Mint 400 sponsors Polaris RZR, BFGoodrich Tires, and more!

Access via Hwy 15, Exit 1 “Primm BLVD” (Primm) and head East, then follow the signs for free parking. Those holding a PRIMM Parking Area parking pass will park directly behind Buffalo Bill’s Hotel and Casino.

 

PARKING PASSES

Spectator parking passes are available to purchase online and are designed to guarantee the holder a parking spot at The Mint 400. You must have a parking pass in order to park a vehicle inside all spectating areas in Jean, NV and the PRIMM Parking Area at the Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish. Your vehicle is only permitted to enter the spectator area for which you have a pass for. There are NO “all inclusive” parking passes. However you may purchase parking passes for multiple spectator areas.

There are a limited number of available parking spots in each spectator area, and the PRIMM Parking Area, and all are expected to sell out quickly.

IMPORTANT: Parking passes may be purchased for passenger cars, light and full size trucks, and passenger vans ONLY!   NO RV’s, (of any class) 5th wheel trailers, toy haulers, pop-up, travel trailers or other oversized vehicles of any kind are allowed in spectator parking areas 1-4 or Primm Valley Parking. This will be strictly enforced.

 

SPECTATING AREAS 1 – 4 PARKING PASS

Quantity: (1) parking pass is required per vehicle per spectator area.
Application: Spectator parking passes must be applied to the OUTSIDE UPPER RIGHT CORNER (passenger side) of your windshield prior to arriving to The Mint 400.

PRIMM VALLEY MINT 400 START/FINISH LINE PARKING PASS

Quantity: (1) parking pass is required per vehicle per spectator area.
Application: Spectator parking passes must be applied to the OUTSIDE UPPER RIGHT CORNER (passenger side) of your windshield prior to arriving to The Mint 400.
Location: Primm, NV

Open: Saturday, March 4th at 5:00am
Close: Saturday, March 4th at 12:00am

These passes will only be pre-sold online prior to the race.

 


FAQ

How long are spectator areas open?
SPEC 1-4 in Jean, NV open on Saturday, March 4th at 5:00am and close at 9:00pm. The Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line opens Saturday, March 4th at 5:00am and closes at midnight.

Can I park on the road and walk into a spectating area?
No. Please do NOT park on any access roads in Jean including Las Vegas Blvd or Knight Ranch Rd. Your vehicle will be cited and/or towed.

What if I do not have a parking pass?
There will be FREE General parking at the Gold Strike Hotel in Jean, with access to Spectator Areas 1 – 4 via shuttle busses that run every 30 minutes. There will be FREE general parking for spectating at the Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line in front of Buffalo Bill’s Resort and Casino, Primm Valley Resort, and Historic Whiskey Pete’s Hotel and Casino.

Can I bring a BBQ?
BBQ’s are permitted. However, please do not dispose of coals on the open desert! BLM officers will be present and will issue citations for this.

Where should I put my trash?
If you packed it in, PACK IT OUT! There are also dumpsters and trash cans in each spectator area. Please help us LEAVE NO TRACE!

Can I camp in the spectator areas?
There is no overnight camping at The Mint 400 either before, during, or after the event.

SPECTATE SAFELY!
-Do not under any circumstances leave the fenced spectator areas and travel onto the racecourse.
-Drones and/or unmanned aircraft, RC toys, UTV’s, motorcycles, and/or quads are forbidden.
-Firearms, fireworks, or weapons of any kind are strictly forbidden at The Mint 400.
-Removal of Mint 400 and sponsor signs, banners, or signage is considered theft and will not be tolerated.

EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION
There will be Mint 400 security personnel at each spectator location including the Primm Valley Start/Finish. If you experience a medical emergency dial 911 and relay your location to EMS staff.

SPECTATOR RULES

For your safety and to protect the desert environment persons MUST NOT:

  1. Spectators are not allowed to park in any other area outside the BLM designated spectator area and may not go outside the BLM designated (4) spectator areas.
  2. Spectators must not park any vehicle in violation of posted restrictions, or in such a manner as to obstruct or impede normal or emergency traffic movement or the parking of other vehicles, create a safety hazard, or endanger any person, property or feature. Vehicles so parked are subject to removal and impoundment at the owner’s expense.
  3. NO ATV’s, NO Motorcycles, NO Bicycles, NO UTV’s are allowed to be ridden in any spectator area. No RC Helicopters or Drones are allowed.
  4. Spectators are subject to a ticket by BLM law enforcement if outside the BLM designated spectator area. No overnight camping or trailers are allowed.
  5. Spectators must not operate any vehicle, including an off-highway vehicle, which is not legally registered for street and highway operation, including operation of such a vehicle in spectator viewing areas, along the racecourse and in designated pit areas.
  6. Spectators must not allow any minor child to be out of their site or playing near any traffic areas or racecourse. Spectators must not allow any pet or other animal in their care to be unrestrained at any time, must be on a leash.
  7. Spectators must not be in possession of any alcoholic beverage unless that person has reached the age of 21 years and is not driving a motor vehicle.
  8. Spectators must not sell, give or otherwise provide any alcoholic beverage to a person that has not reached the age of 21 years.
  9. Spectators must not possess, discharge, or use firearms, other weapons, or fireworks.
  10. Spectators must not cut or collect firewood of any kind, including dead and down wood or other vegetative material.
  11. Spectators, PLEASE leave your area clean, pick up and carry out your trash! To keep the desert open to enjoy you must do your part and keep it clean.
  12. Spectators must follow the direction of the Mad Media Official, these areas are permitted areas under the supervision of Mad Media and the BLM.
